V lift: Absorbable

Smooth threads are being used to rejuvenate the dermis and increase density deep down in the skin (meso V lift):

• Fills the lines and creases between both the nose and the mouth.
• Minimizes wrinkles underneath the lower eyelids.
• Softens the fine lines of the upper lip
• Perfect the cleavage

Pointed threads are being used to re-lift the skin tissue that has loosened slightly (premium V lift):

• Lifts the eyebrow at the forehead level
• Repositions of the cheekbones
• Restores the tension of the jowls
• Reshapes the contours of the edge of the face.
• Treat mild sagging skin on arms, abdomen, and thighs.

After removing the make-up and disinfecting the area to be treated, the practitioner uses numbing cream. The threads are then introduced into the subcutaneous tissue, inserted and positioned when the needle or cannula is extracted.

These are polydioxanone (PDS) threads, an absorbable material that has been used in cardiac surgery for more than 50 years to produce sutures. Unlike other threading techniques, especially gold threads, they are completely absorbable and disappear gradually after six to eight months. They do not cause an allergic reaction, cannot be rejected and have no side effects.

To tackle ageing from all sides, there are different sorts of threads: smooth and pointed. You can combine both methods in one session, depending on the symptoms to be treated.

Meso V lift technique

The physician inserts smooth threads into the dermis with a needle, producing a mesh on the area to be treated. The threads are positioned in the skin when each needle is removed and stay in place. This results in an increased density of the components of the skin (collagen, elastin).

Premium V lift technique

The physician inserts in the skin pointed threads that are mounted on a cannula. Then he pulls the two ends of the thread to fix the notches in the dermis and reinstate the tension to the skin. This causes an immediate lifting effect. Threads are thick and the doctor may cause significant skin traction.

This technique is faster and more convenient for the patient, because the use of a cannula is less invasive than a needle.

The patient can resume daily activities immediately. There's going to be an oedema that last for 3 to 4 days. Blue marks of varying degrees may appear in some patients. They disappear after 7 to 8 days and can be coated by the foundation. The edges of the face may be slightly painful to touch for about a week.

The skin will have fewer wrinkles and will look lifted. The presence of threads in the body may cause localized inflammation and tissue fibrosis following treatment. The skin will then induce the production of collagen for 6 to 8 months to regenerate the dermis, which is the time it takes for the threads to be metabolized. The lifting effect is immediately visible and the results continue to improve, reaching a peak of about 1 to 2 months after the procedure.

The final results will last between 12 and 18 months. After 15 months, most patients undergo further treatment.
