Buttocks Lipofilling

Buttocks lipofilling is for men and women who wish to:

• Improve the volume of their buttocks;
• Reshaping the shape of the buttocks.
• Firming their sagging buttocks

Of course, there must be enough reserves of fat. Quite thin people will have to rely on an augmentation by means of buttock implants.

Lipofilling is performed under general anesthesia and lasts between one and three hours. The patient usually remains at the clinic for a night.

The surgeon requires a large amount of fat for the buttocks. They start systematically by liposuction of the hips and the saddlebags, since the thinning of the silhouette in these particular areas will enable them to reshape the drop of the kidneys and the buttocks before the fat is injected. They can even suck fat from the belly or some other place where it is in abundance, depending on the needs.

Then the fat is centrifuged and distributed homogeneously in the upper part of the buttocks with fine cannulae. The increase in the volume of buttocks by fat injection ranges from 200 cc to 250 cc.

Benefits of liposuction of the buttocks:

• Fat is an autologous material, 100% natural. There is thus no chance of allergy or rejection.
• There are no marks, just small, almost invisible incisions of less than a millimeter.

The surgeon closes the incisions with resorbable threads at the end of the operation.

Lipofilling of the buttocks may be paired with implant placement of the buttocks. Fat better divides the implant from the skin and makes it look more natural while smoothing the appearance of the orange peel.

There is an oedema and bruising which fade in a few weeks. It is best to sleep on your stomach for three weeks and to sit on the lower portion of your buttocks as much as possible. The activities can be resumed after one week. Wait at least 1 month before resuming physical activity.

The result of the lipofilling of the buttocks is clearly visible but will be definite after three to six months. The buttocks are rounded, firmer and better shaped. It is very natural that they lose up to 30% of their volume in the weeks following the operation. This is why a second intervention at a time period of six months is usually expected. Once the fat grafting is absorbed, it is permanent. The fat cells are living tissue, so in case of weight gain or loss, the buttocks can also increase or decrease in volume.
