Hyaluronic Acid for Dark Circles

The hollow ring is the cavity that exists beneath the eye and highlights the orbital rim. We see a hollow bone through the skin, which gives a skeletal impression.

Dark circles may be hereditary, but are most often caused by a gradual decline in subcutaneous fat between the skin and the bone. The hollow ring is isolated in young people. From the forties onwards, the loss of volume extends inward to the root of the nose and outward to the cheekbone. In this case, an injection of hyaluronic acid is made in the rings and in the area of “valley of tears” (around the eyes).

The injection of hyaluronic acid in the rings lasts just about ten minutes. The physician cleans and disinfects your eyelids. The doctor applies anesthetic cream to very sensitive people.

The doctor uses a HA fluid, weakly cross-linked, which does not absorb too much water to produce a natural and imperceptible result. He injects deep between the skin and the bone using micro-cannulas with rounded ends. The product spreads very slowly under the skin along the lower eyelid, reducing pain and the risk of hematoma.

The physician must fix the hollow without creating a pocket under the eye by overfilling. He will therefore inject carefully, even if he retouches during the upkeep visit one month after the session.

There are small bruises and slight oedema for a few days after injection. Activities can be resumed immediately.

The results are instantly visible and last for at least twelve months.
